St. Vincent, here we come!

Many of you know that I am heading on a mission trip this summer with a small group of young adults from my church. We are heading to St.Vincent (and island in the Carribean) for two weeks to work with children, young adults and a local church on the island. As we have been preparing, we have been overwhelmed by God's provision and people's generosity. Not only are we able to travel to St.Vincent and provide programming and serve the community while we are there, we are also able to bring loads of donations due to people's kindness. Each child will receive a bag of school supplies, uniform items, toys, games, candy etc. These kids are going to be so appreciative! Thank you for giving so generously to this mission trip.

One of the ways that we raised money for this trip was building a (very very long!) farm fence for a family in our church. They were gracious enough to allow us to build it (inexperienced as we were) and put money towards our trip in exchange. It was a good exercise in getting to know each other before leaving on the trip! We have a team blog that highlights pictures from the event and we will also post updates there while we are away. You can visit our team blog at http://stvincent2006.blogspot.com/

I will post personal photos and thoughts here following our return. Thanks for your support!
