It's about time. . .

Welcome to my Blog! Many of you will say it's about time that I get one! I went to the Acapella concert tonight, a benefit concert for the new Christian radio station in Saskatoon, Free 100.3 FM. What a pleasure it was to see a great new bunch of singers in the group, honouring God with their talents. Even more encouraging was the support that was shown for the new radio station. It is about time that we have a Christian station here! During my studies away, I valued Christian radio so much. I always found it encouraging and uplifting at just the right times. Plus, waking up to it started my day off right! Being back home, I really realize how much we need it here, especially to encourage our young people. There seems to be a drop-off for people spiritually at my age. Once they have finished high school and youth group is over, many lose their sense of belonging. Beginning a new chapter of life, we tend to want to "plan our own way" and have no concern for what God might have in store for us. Sad but true, there seems to be an abyss that is devouring Christians that get caught between youth group and the land of married people! I am, however, encouraged to see that the Christian community is starting to wake up and realize that there is a problem. . .we need to be praying and working for a solution to bring God's children back to Him! We are at a time in our lives where we have few obligations and many giftings that can be used for God's glory.
