Baccalauréat en éducation

Now for some catching up on my life! At the end of April I graduated with my second University degree, a B.Ed (french immersion) from the University of Alberta (Campus St-Jean). I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my experience there!
I was able to live with my friends Shelley and Miles who were fabulous to me and shared their home with me for two years! Thanks guys, I love you!! The french college is quite small and had a really nice community feel to it. I made some wonderful friends at school and this is a picture of us at grad! (There were virtually no guys at this school!) I was able to be involved in a francophone choir and had the opportunity to travel to Quebec on tour with them last summer.
While in Edmonton, I also connected with a group of young women at McKernan Baptist Church and made that my church home for my time there. I enjoyed show-skating with the National Ice Theatre of Canada and made some great friends through that too.
Our grad was a really exciting time for us to be able to celebrate our accomplishment with our family and friends. I felt blessed to have my most important family members come all the way to Edmonton just to celebrate with us! My brother, Dave, (pictured with me above) both of my parents and step-parents as well as my Grandma Flo & Grandma Audrey (and her friend Art) were all there! Thank you so much to all of you for your love and support during this journey!
I thouroughly enjoyed my experience in Edmonton but it is GREAT to be home! Catching up with friends and having family at arms length has been great. To all my dear friends in Edmonton, you have touched my heart and taught me a lot about myself. I will not forget you and I hope to stay in touch. . . God bless you on your journey, wherever it may take you!

Amitiés,

Julia.
